Hello friends of Stream of Dreams,

We have some exciting news to share!

It is with great pleasure for us to announce that the Stream of Dreams Mural Society won the 2016 recipient of the Pacific Salmon Farm’s George Hungerford Award for volunteerism, community work and the Pacific salmon.

Stream of Dreams wins award.

Stream of Dreams received this prestigious award at Pacific Salmon Farm's Gala on May 6th 2016 along with a $10,000 prize to use towards salmon projects. What an honour!

This award was selected by the Board of Directors of the PSF and evaluated based on the following:

Dedication & Impact on their Community The nominee (or group) has demonstrated exceptional dedication to programs in salmon conservation and restoration. Through this work, they have fostered a stewardship ethic that has spawned stronger community involvement and pride. The nominee may also have made a noticeable difference to the livability of their community in addition to the benefits provided to Pacific salmon.

Influence & Innovation The efforts of the nominee (or group) have been shared beyond their immediate community contributing to greater program successes, public awareness, and education about Pacific salmon; or has provided innovation through technology or processes to enhance community efforts for conservation and restoration. Their work is recognized as a model for others beyond their own community. Benefit to Pacific salmon and their watersheds The nominee (or group) has provided time, effort and expertise to projects and/or initiatives that have had tangible benefits to Pacific salmon in their local watershed(s) and ideally over broader areas. “
